As you may know, the real estate market ebbs and flows based on a seven to 10-year cycle. We are now approaching a time when we’re expecting to move into another period of the market.

We’re expecting our market to shift over the next year or so from a busy seller’s market to one that favors buyers.

What does this mean if you’re looking to sell your home? This shift could mean that your home will be on the market for a little bit longer than it would today, and it may take a little bit longer to even get offers on it.

For buyers, this shift brings with it more opportunities. There will be more homes on the market, which means that there will also be fewer buyers to compete with. Multiple offer situations may become a rarity.

Since we are in the Raleigh market, we’re not necessarily expecting a major shift, but there will definitely be some changes to the market that we’ve been in for the past year.
